But how do their home electric car chargers fare in the market?

What is the Indra Smart Pro?
All in all, the Smart PRO is a clever universal untethered wall-mounted home EV charger, with a charging speed of 7.4kW. Available in black and white, the Indra Smart uses a Wi-Fi/Ethernet connection to connect your EV, charger and app, or you can upgrade to a 4G mobile connection. Note: s a socketed charger, you use your own charging cable.
Price-wise, you’re looking at around £949 + for an Indra Smart Pro charger, complete with expert standard installation.
And finally, as with all smart EV chargers, the Smart Pro comes with the typical 3-year warranty standard and is fully compliant with the Smart EV Charging Regulations.

Indra Smart Pro EV Charger Review Cons:
1. Design flaw
Customers have noted that the Indra Smart Pro charge point, while robust and resistant, verges on being a bit bulky and robot-esque.
The specific size? We’re closing in at H420 x W200 x D130 mm. That’s quite the difference from other smart home chargers, such as the Ohme ePod, at 230mm x 140mm x 100mm.
But remember: size isn’t everything. While the Ohme ePod is comparatively smaller, it also has an IP45 rating, which, while still strong, isn’t on the same level as the Smart Pro’s defence.
Still, at a glance, the Smart Pro is your more traditional style of home charger, which makes sense given its creation a few years back. Be that as it may, if you prefer sleeker, more modern, futuristic designs – we say go for the new Indra Smart Lux, instead. The same fantastic tech, but in a sleeker, slimmer body.
Finally, on a personal note, we feel the Indra Smart Pro in black has a cleaner, more premium feel than the white. But we know aesthetics and colour schemes are each to their own.
2. 4G connectivity is extra
If you live in an area where the Wi-Fi signal is spotty at best, non-existent at worst, you may lose access to Indra’s leading smart features, disrupting charging sessions and, worse, disconnecting from EV tariffs and losing out on savings.
Usually, you would opt for an EV charger with mobile connectivity in this instance; for example, the Ohme Home Pro and Ohme ePod come with 4G only.
But while a 4G mobile connection is possible, it’s sadly an additional cost.
Note: It’s still a bonus that Indra offers 4G as well as Wi-Fi/Ethernet. Some EV chargers only offer one or the other.
Is the Indra Smart Pro any good?
Absolutely. The Indra Smart Pro is built with some of the greatest smart technology on the market, tying only with Ohme’s intelligent tech. Solar integration, advanced EV tariff and load balancing are all included as standard, but the compatibility with Intelligent Octopus Go and OVO are where the Indra Smart Pro shines the brightest.
While we can’t deny the Indra Smart Pro loses a few marks for its traditional charger looks, it pulls it back with its reliability and robustness, with its high IP rating and general physical and technical futureproofing.
