It’s available in both tethered and untethered.
Is the Wall Charger 2 Type 1 or Type 2?
Type 2 only.
What size cables are available?
With the socketed version, you use your own cable. For the tethered, it comes with a built-in 7.5m Type 2 cable.
What is the power output?
7.4kW, single-phase.
Are there any different colours?
While the body of the charger remains the same, you can purchase additional coloured faceplates.
The different colours are:
- Anthracite Grey (as standard)
- Signal Red
- Sandstone Yellow
- Racing Green
- Traffic White
- Jet Black
- Signal Grey
- Deep Blue
- High Impact Metal
These all come at an additional cost, with grey being the standard colour.
Is the Wall Charger 2 solar-compatible?
Yes, the Wall Charger 2 is solar-compatible. So as long as you have the correct infrastructure in place, such as a solar PV system, you can charge with free surplus solar energy.

Is 4G available?
If you purchase the standard version, it won’t come with 4G connectivity.

Yes, as with all our EV chargers, the Sync Energy Charger 2 is fully compliant with the Electric Vehicles (Smart Charge Points) Regulations.
