What is the Dragon Charging network?

Dragon Charging is a Welsh public EV charging network, offering destination EV charging points only.

Currently, there are over 691 Dragon charging stations across 171 locations, meaning the network is quite small compared to other leading charging networks.

Where do I find these EV chargers?

The majority of Dragon chargers are in Wales, though they are branching out to some areas of London.

Typically, you’ll find Dragon EV chargers at car parks, especially council car parks, as well as on the street. You won’t find charging points at motorway stations or installed at home.

How do I find Dragon charging stations near me?

  • Zap-Map: Use the app or online tool to locate your nearest Dragon charger.

What do Dragon charging stations look like?

The faster Dragon charging stations are larger, similar to other rapid public charging stations, and are all white freestanding cabinets with black tethered cables.

Smaller, slower fast chargers look more like parking ticket machines – more slender and basic.

If in doubt, spot the EV charging network because of the red Welsh dragon on its logo.

Are Dragon charging stations free?

No, just like other public charging networks in the UK, the Dragon charging network isn’t free.
