With this, Octopus Electroverse takes the lead as the largest EV charging network. You’ll always be ready to hit the road with the network constructed of mostly fast, rapid and ultra-rapid public electric car charging stations.

Plus, you get access to more features, such as a route planner, live map, and more.

You might already know Electroverse by its previous name, Octopus Electric Juice. While the name has changed, it remains the largest consumer-focused electric car charging platform.

How do I find available EV chargers on Electroverse?

One way to find compatible EV chargers is on the Electroverse Octopus Map, either online of through your App. All charging points shown will be compatible.

Another way is using alternative EV charging map apps, which have a similar principle to the Electroverse map. Zap-Map and Plug Share are great options. Be aware that some EV chargers on these maps may not be compatible with Electroverse, as they display all available chargers near you.

Ordering the Eletroverse RFID card is free, and joining is free – no strings attached. But, any charging you do will incur a fee, just like regular public charging networks. The Octopus Electroverse prices, therefore, vary depending on the charger and how long you charge for.

That said, Electroverse does offer some discounts for those with Octopus Energy as their home supply.

How do I order an Electroverse card?

• Download the Electroverse app (App Store or Google Play)
• Create an Octopus Electroverse account
• Add a payment method to your account
• Order the Electroverse card
• Once the card has arrived, activate your RFID card in the app

How do I charge with Octopus Electroverse?

Overall, there are two ways to charge your electric car with Electroverse. One, through the app. Second, using the RFID card. We’ll take you through both.

1. How to charge with the Electroverse app:

• Find a compatible Electroverse EV charger that’s also compatible with the Electroverse app
• Follow the steps through the app
• Connect the charging cable to your EV
• Press the start charge button
• When you want to finish, use the ‘slide to stop’ on your phone and your charging session will end.

2. How to use the Octopus Electroverse RFID card:

• Find a compatible charger
• Park in the correct bay
• Plug in the charging cable to your electric car
• Swipe your card across the reader
• Relax while you charge
• Tap the charger to end the session
• Unplug the charging cable
• Leave the charging station tidy and drive away.
