In a nutshell, the OVO Charge Anytime tariff is an add-on for OVO customers aimed specifically at EV drivers. Those with a compatible set-up can charge their electric cars at the greenest and cheapest times for just 7p per kilowatt-hour (kWh) – coming in at 2p per mile*.
It’s worth noting that OVO refunds the cheaper electricity prices in the form of credit the month after charging.
What do you need to take advantage of the OVO Charge Anytime tariff?
Simply put, to be able to charge cheaper and greener with OVO Charge Anytime, you need to have a compatible EV charging setup. This includes:
- A compatible smart electric vehicle (EV) OR a compatible EV charger installed at home (you don’t need both)
- A compatible smart meter (one that is set to half-hourly reads)
- Be an OVO energy customer for your electricity (switch to OVO)
- A smartphone (either iOS or Android)
- OVO app
