Please be aware that Lidl will take a pre-authorisation fee to see if you have enough funds to pay for the charging session. It can take up to four weeks for the funds to be released. Alternatively, if you opt for the Lidl app, the pre-authorisation fee is much more palatable, at £40, and will be released within 48 hours.

How do I pay for EV charging at Lidl?

• Lidl EV charging app, named ‘Lidl Plus App’ (Available on the App Store and Google Play)
• Third-party websites (scan the QR code on the front of the charger)
• Contactless card (DC charge points only) – American Express is not accepted.
• RFID card from a third-party provider (such as the Electroverse card)
